Morning,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable Spring Break. With only 9 weeks left in the school year, please be reminded that safe and courteous driving on and around Mannion Middle School campus is the expectation. A couple of reminders to keep everyone safe and sane:
- Nobody is permitted to park and/or drop off parallel to the large orange cones in the front parking lot. This is a No Stopping Zone. Parents are required to pull up to the curb before or after the orange cones. This will allow the flow of traffic to continue while you drop off your student.
- Never ask your student to step out into traffic to exit or enter the vehicle.
- The front driveway exit of the school is a single lane. Please do not pass cars on the left who are waiting to exit out of the school’s driveway. Traffic Control will not grant us a double turn lane, so we are not permitted to make one on our own.
- Skyline must remain clear for buses. The street is narrow, and the No Parking Red Zones allow buses to access the back of the school. Please do not park along Skyline in the red zone so our buses can easily access the school.
- Paradise Hills is problematic when parents going east want to use the roundabout to go left onto Greenway. Please consider going straight to College Drive instead of turning onto Greenway. This will reduce the traffic for everyone.
- The City of Henderson Crossing Guards on Paradise Hills Drive are trained to prioritize student safety. Remind students who bike/walk to school to travel safely on the roads (those scooters go way too fast) and remind them to follow the instructions of the crossing guards.
We realize that student drop-off and pick-up around all schools is stressful. Please be patient and courteous and prioritize student safety.
Go Mustangs!
