Greetings,
Picture day was today and all students received a free school breakaway lanyard, plastic cover, and student ID. Starting on Thursday, August 29, students are required to wear their school issued lanyard and ID between 7:50 AM (upon entering the hallway and dropping backpacks in their locker) and 2:11 PM (End of the day).
For safety reasons and to minimize lost or forgotten lanyards/IDs, students should either leave their lanyard/ID in the their locker at the end of each day or keep it in their backpack when travelling to and from school.
Students must wear their school issued lanyard in the appropriate grade color. Students may wear an additional lanyard (Golden Knights, for example) in addition to their school issued lanyard. Students may not cover their picture.
Students that were absent today should report to the main office tomorrow morning for their school issued lanyard. They will need to participate in picture retake on October 4 to be in the yearbook.
Student that lose or forget their school issued lanyard/ID may purchase a new set for $3. Student should make the purchase before school at the school bank.
Students that forget their lanyard/ID will receive a red lanyard/ID during first period. This must be worn throughout the day. Students that consistently forget their lanyard/ID, or have to be asked to “put it on” by teachers or administrators, will receive consequences. A list of the progressive consequences for lanyards/IDs can be found on our school’s website by CLICKING HERE.
In addition, our school wide tardy policy will begin on Thursday, August 29. Students are expected to be on time for each class. Teachers mark students that are late as tardy in Infinite Campus. Students that are consistently tardy will receive consequences. A list of the progressive consequences for tardies can be found on the school’s website by CLICKING HERE. In the event a parent brings the student late to school, the parent is asked to walk the student into the main office. By doing so, the student is still marked tardy, but will not receive progressive consequences for the tardy.
If you have any questions about these safety policies, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Go Mustangs!
