Greetings,
Thank you to all of our families for a great first day of school!
We understand that frustrations continue with CCSD Transportation. Please be patient as they work to route all eligible students. You may email concerns and questions to CCSD Transportation at transportation@nv.ccsd.net. Be sure to include your student’s name and student ID number in the email.
I realize that morning and afternoon traffic on Paradise Hills was frustrating. This is common the first few days of school, so be patient. A couple of reminders:
- When dropping off your student, on any road or in Mannion’s driveway, please pull up to the curb. Do not double park to let your student out. When you double park, it stops traffic behind you.
- Do not drop off students parallel to the orange cones. Please continue to drive past the orange cones for more drop off spots. Again, our goal is to keep traffic moving.
- Do not block the roundabout. Please allow the flow of traffic to continue. Also, please allow cars, attempting to pull out of Mannion, into the Paradise Hills traffic.
- We have adult supervision on campus starting at 7 AM. To avoid the traffic, drop off students earlier.
- The best drop off locations are often further away from the school. Dropping students off, and having them walk a few minutes, is not only healthy for them, but can also be less stressful for the entire family.
Traffic concerns will be a topic at the first Parent Community Partnership Meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, at 5:30 PM. To view the agenda, click here.
Again, it was a great first day!
Go Mustangs!
