Greetings,
CCSD released the official start times for 2026-2027. Effective the first day of school, August 10, 2026, Mannion Middle School’s start time for students will be 7:30 AM. The student day will end at 1:41 PM.
This shift in start times will impact numerous aspects of our school, so here are a few things that will be impacted by the new student start time for 2026-2027:
- The Mannion Office hours will be 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- All conferences, traditionally held before school, will shift to after school. Grade level counselors will continue to facilitate conferences that will begin at 1:50 PM and end at 2:20 PM. Due to teacher contract times, the conference will be limited to 30 minutes and will end at 2:20 PM.
- Teacher office hours for reassessments and tutoring will shift to after school.
- The Mannion bell schedule will also need to change. The 2026-2027 bell schedule is available here for you to review. We will continue to have three grade level based lunches during the 2026-2027 school year.
- Early bird classes will no longer be available, and after school classes are not available due to sports and activities.
- Bus times, available during the summer, will be released by the CCSD Transportation Department.
The final Parent Community Partnership Meeting of this year is scheduled for April 16, 2026. The 2026-2027 start time and bell schedule will be placed on the agenda for questions.
