Welcome to Mannion Middle School!
We look forward to seeing our Mustangs return to campus on Monday, August 8, 2022. The purpose of this email is to share a few helpful reminders for students and families. Please review this email carefully, and let us know if you have any questions.
- The 22-23 Bell Schedule is posted on our website. For your convenience, it is linked here. Mannion begins at 8:00 AM and students are released at 2:11 PM.
- Students who did not pick up their schedule, or are still unable to view it on the Parent Portal, should report to the Library before school for a copy. If you received a copy of your schedule already, please bring it to school with you on Monday!
- Early Bird classes (7 AM – 7:50 AM) will not meet until Tuesday, August 9.
- Students who plan to bring a bike, scooter, or skateboard are required to register the item on our website to receive their assigned parking space. These items must be locked and spots will be distributed to students during the first week of school.
- The cafeteria lines tend to be long the first week of school as our student cafeteria workers are still being trained. While we will make sure all students eat, but you may want your student to bring lunch to alleviate their stress of waiting in a long lunch line.
6th Grade Reminders:
- Students do not need to bring PE Uniforms the first week of school.
- Students do not need to bring instruments on the first day of school.
- 6th grade students who received ChromeBooks and cases may bring them on Monday, August 8. 6th grade students who did not receive a ChromeBook should print these documents and bring them signed by a parent/guardian. With these signed documents, the student will receive a ChromeBook, charger, and case on Monday, August 8.

Finally, please take a few minutes this weekend to set some academic goals and review behavior expectations with your student. Start the year off by making sure the Student Handbook is reviewed as well as the Student Success Page of the Mannion Website. If possible, consider attending the first Parent Community Partnership Meeting of the school year. The first meeting is Tuesday, August 9, at 5:30 PM in the Mannion Library. Once completed, the agenda is linked here.
We look forward to a great school year!
Go Mustangs!
