As principal, I consistently field a number of questions from parents and community members regarding traffic and student safety travelling to and from school.
Over the past year, we have been working with our community partners to flip the conversation about traffic from just fielding complaints to bringing about positive change. On November 15 at 5:30 PM, representative from the City of Henderson, CCSD Police, Henderson Police, and CCSD’s Safe Routes to Schools will host a parent forum and informational meeting about Mannion traffic and student safety while traveling to school. Safe Routes to Schools will also present to students the following day.
I am inviting all parents to join me for this meeting on November 15th at 5:30 PM. This meeting will serve as our monthly Parent Community Partnership Meeting and will take place in the school library, unless the number of RSVPs indicate that we should move the meeting to the cafeteria or the gymnasium to accomodate a larger audience. For organizational purposes, please complete the RSVP:
Please let me know if you have any questions and i look forward to seeing you on November 15 at 5:30 PM.
Todd C. Petersen, Principal
