Dear Families,
The 6th grade students are having a fantastic start to the year! We appreciate the kind manners and work ethic they are showing each day (not to mention the boundless energy and moves many of them displayed at Friday’s dance).
This is the first year with PE/6th Grade Studies, and as school leaders we are learning as we go. Based on student feedback (and confusion), we decided to make a change and simplify the schedule we adopted for this course. Instead of splitting the classes in half during the week, students will alternate the classes each week. Starting this week, the schedule will be as follows:
- Students who have P.E. on Monday (August 29) will have it for the entire week. Then the following week they will attend 6th grade studies.
- Students who have 6th grade studies on Monday (August 29) will stay in that class for the entire week. Then the following week they will have P.E.
To assist parents and students with the schedule (when students need their PE clothes and when they do not) we added a calendar to our school website in addition to the calendar shared with you by Mrs. Oblad and Coach Roquemore.
Finally, due to the nature of the course, the teacher presentation for Open House (Thursday, September 1) will take place in the school theatre located just to the left of the entrance.
If you need additional assistance, please contact Mrs. Oblad and/or Coach Roquemore.
Go Mustangs!
