Dear Mannion Families,
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Superintendent announced on February 25, 2021, the return for middle school students to campus on the Hybrid Instructional Model for interested families. This model will allow for students to receive in-person instruction on campus two times a week. A link to the hybrid bell schedule, effective March 22 for all Mannion students in grade 6-8, is available by CLICKING HERE.
At this time, our sixth grade students will have the option to return beginning the week of March 22, 2021, and seventh and eighth grade students will have the option to return the week of April 5, 2021. Classes resume after Spring Break on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
As we prepare for this transition, we are using survey responses from November to place students according to their family preference.
Mannion Middle School ParentLinked families the assigned Cohort. The individual letter either identified your student(s) as Cohort A, Cohort B, or Cohort C.
Based on your previous response, you selected the Hybrid Instructional Model. Your child has been assigned to Cohort A. Cohort A students will report to campus on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Based on your previous response, you selected the Hybrid Instructional Model. Your child has been assigned to Cohort B. Cohort B students will report to campus on Thursdays and Fridays.
In the absence of a family response to the survey, or based on your previous response, your child will remain in the Distance Learning Model through the end of this school year. For reference, our bell schedule will be modified to align with the Hybrid Instructional Model.
We understand that many families may have changed their decisions from the original survey completed in November and we are providing an opportunity for families to revisit their preferences. Depending on demand, requests for changes may be placed on a waitlist. As a reminder, if you inadvertently did not complete the survey, or joined our school family after the survey was administered, CCSD assigned your child to Cohort C. We are asking all families to confirm their decision or make their alternate request by completing the form available by CLICKING HERE no later than Friday, March 5, 2021.
We know that there are many questions regarding our return to campuses and we have included the letter available by CLICKING HERE for your reference. We are excited to welcome students back to our campus. We will keep you informed of any additions or enhancements to these plans. As always, health and safety will be our priority. We appreciate your support and patience as we begin offering opportunities for students to return to campus.
