Greetings,
I wanted to update students and parents regarding activities and athletics at Mannion Middle School.
Mannion Middle School will have an after school activity bus on Mondays through Thursdays. Students may utilize the after school activity bus if they are staying after school for academic support or an after school club. Students must request a pass from their teacher/club advisor to be eligible to take the late bus. The late bus will begin on August 23, 2021.
Activities:
We are in the process of organizing our after school clubs. Once the different clubs are finalized, we will utilize this calendar to post where and when clubs will meet:

Athletics:
Cheerleading:
The cheerleading clinic will be held after school on August 24 through August 26. The clinic will be from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM in the Mannion gym. The clinic is for students who intend to try out for the team. Cheerleading tryouts will be held on Friday, August 27. Tryouts will begin at 2:30 PM and information about tryouts will be provided at the clinic. Athletic Packets are not required to try out, but will be required if the student makes the team.
Flag Football & Soccer:
CCSD added boys and girls flag football for the fall and boys and girls soccer for the spring. At this time, Mannion does not have coaches for either. Until Mannion is able to hire a coach, we are unable to provide information about intramurals or tryouts (without a coach, we will not be able to field a team).
Basketball:
Basketball intramurals will begin on October 18, 2021. Boys 6th & 7th grade intramurals will be held on Mondays, 8th grade boys will be held on Tuesdays. And intramurals for all girls in grades 6 through 8 will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
