Procedure
For Students who ride a bicycle, scooter, or skateboard to school (including electric or motorized), Mannion’s procedure for students who ride bikes, scooters, or skateboards to school is as follows:
At the end of the school day, students exiting the bike rack will be directed to leave campus on the sidewalk along the exit ramp on the east side of the school, along the tennis courts. Students can go right or left (east or west on Paradise Hills) once they are on the sidewalk in front of the school.

Students on bikes and scooters will not be permitted to ride across the sidewalk area at the main entrance in front of the school at dismissal. There are too many students trying to walk across the sidewalk at the main entrance when leaving school, and we are trying to avoid a possible collision between walkers and riders!

Safety Reminders
E-bikes and scooters are fun and a fast way to get to school and back home—but they’re not toys. They can go over 20 mph, which means crashes can be serious. That’s why safety matters.
For Parents:
- Make sure your child is the right age and size for the e-bike or scooter they’re riding according to the manufacture specifications
- Educate them on the rules of the road—just like driving a car
- Warn them of the life-threatening dangers of reckless driving
For Riders:
- Wear a helmet every time—no exceptions
- Ride in bike lanes when possible, and obey traffic signs
- Check the brakes, tires and battery before each ride
- Stay visible—wear bright clothes and use lights
- Reckless driving can lead to deadly consequences
