CCSD is asking schools to make preparations to collect textbooks, library books, instruments, and concert attire. We are also being asked to organize a process to distribute personal items of value from student’s academic and PE lockers.
We have a plan in place and the purpose of this email is to communicate with parents and students the plan. I also want to invite parents to join me for tonight’s virtual Parent Community Partnership Meeting at 6:00 PM (This is a time change due to Governor Sisolak’s Press Conference at 5 PM) where I can review the plan and answer any questions. Tonight’s Parent Meeting will also be live streamed on the school’s official Facebook Page.
Understand that we do not have permission to move forward and implement this plan until CCSD and the Governor gives permission for us to do so. While I can answer questions about the schedule, logistics, and expectations associated with this plan, I am not in a position to answer the most pressing question – when can we get our stuff back.
I ask every parent to please read the plan carefully as it has a lot of information and expectations about this process. It is organized to limit the amount of time families have to wait, limit the number of volunteers on campus, accommodate those that work during the day, and provide parents an option to “donate” items from their locker that do not have significant value. By working together and following the schedule, this will be an efficient process for all involved.

Again, I am happy to answer any questions about the plan at tonight’s Parent Meeting at 6:00 PM. To join the meeting please utilize this link or “friend” the school’s Facebook Page. Ms. Hargraves and Ms. Miller have once again agreed to monitor the chats and comments to make sure all questions are answered. The link to the meeting is also on the main page of the school’s website or copy this link into your browser:
I appreciate everyone being patient with this process and hopefully we will know soon when we can implement the plan.
