AZAC Committee Meeting (Mannion School Zone)

Clark County School District has received a $15 million grant from the Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) to implement new Environmental Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math magnet programs at Carroll M. Johnston Middle School and Lyal Burkholder Middle School beginning the 2024-2025 school year. This results in the need to dissolve the current Burkholder MS attendance zone. However, currently enrolled 6th and 7th grade students will be Grandfathered to remain for 7th and 8th grade at Burkholder MS, with all incoming 6th grade students going through the magnet lottery process. This area is scheduled to be discussed at the next AZAC meeting at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 17, at the Edward A. Greer Education Center Boardroom.  Information about the AZAC process and all data provided will be made available at http://azac.ccsd.net.
