Greetings,
April 1 will mark the start of SBAC Testing at Mannion Middle School. Over the past year our teachers have analyzed data, adjusted their lessons to meet the needs of students, and prepared their classes for the days ahead. Our students have completed their work, developed their skills, and are prepared to show growth from the previous year. I am proud of both our staff and our students.
Mr. Stork has shared with our community the 2025 testing schedule. While teachers have gone through it with students, we realize tomorrow may be a bit confusing for students. We have done all that we can to alleviate student concerns, including making a brief video to preview for students what to expect the morning of testing. If necessary, please preview the video so you are able to answer any questions your student may have.
The night before your student is scheduled for SBAC, please assist us by making sure your student comes to school prepared. This includes:
-
Leave wireless AirPods and smart watches at home for the day
-
Remind students, if they bring a cell phone to school, that it should remain in their locker for the test session
-
Ensure the ChromeBook is charging so it can be fully charged the morning of the test
-
Ensure the student is on time for school.
-
Students will need a book to read in the event they finish the test early
-
Remind students the importance of showing growth on the test. To show growth, simply do their best and take the test seriously
Thank you for the support you continue to show Mannion Middle School as well as supporting students throughout SBAC Testing. We got this, Mustangs!
