Engrave A Brick Project
This year, Mannion Middle School will renovate the picnic area inside the school’s courtyard, both beautifying this area of campus and providing Mannion families the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy by sponsoring a brick engraved with the names of their family members. New Sound System in the Gymnasium
Mannion Middle School is looking to install a permanent sound system in the gym that will meet the diverse needs of the school’s gymnasium. In addition to providing adequate music and announcements over a cheering crowd at a basketball game, the sound system must also provide adequate sound to hear a speaker at a band, choir, or orchestra concert or the names of students being read at the 8th grade awards ceremony. Finally, for obvious reasons, the system must be mounted so it can be protected from and damage that may be unintentionally inflicted during a basketball game or a physical education class activity.
New Quad Area Mural
Due to irreparable damage, the “Do the Right Thing” wall, located as students entered the Quad, had to be removed. In its place, the school logo will be painted on the wall to welcome all students and visitors to Mannion Middle School.
Honor Roll Recognitions
Annually, Student Generated Funds (SGF) are utilized to honor and recognize students for outstanding achievement. Whether it is t-shirts and certificates distributed during the Mustang of the Month breakfast or the popular car stickers, highlighters, and pens distributed for honor roll recognitions, these items can be expensive. Contributions that support these recognitions will offset the costs.
