A grant, called Social Workers in Schools, was funded by the Nevada State Legislature. It provides a full time social worker on school campuses to assist with student and community needs. In addition, the Community Center coordinates numerous activities and events on campus through the Be Kind Club.
The Mannion Community Center food pantry is always accepting donations to provide assistance to students and families in need. A list of “need items” can be requested from the school’s social worker, Paige Johnson.

Be Kind Club
The Mannion Community Center “Be Kind Club” provides diverse opportunities for students to work together to ensure maintains a positive and supportive school culture. For more information about the Be Kind Club, students should visit the Community Center or see Ms. Johnson during the school day.
Request or Provide Support
Opportunities for students and parents to volunteer in the Community Center are available. In addition, parents may request assistance so that their child can continue to focus on his or her academic studies.
