A grant, called Social Workers in Schools, was funded by the Nevada State Legislature. It provides a full time social worker on school campuses to assist with student and community needs. In addition, the Community Center coordinates numerous activities and events on campus through the Be Kind Club.
The Mannion Community Center food pantry is always accepting donations to provide assistance to students and families in need. A specific list of “need items” can be requested from the school’s social worker, Paige Johnson, but a list of common items that are collected for the food pantry is available below.
The Mannion Community Center clothing closet is not accepting donations at this time. If you have a question about a possible donation please reach out to the school’s social worker, Paige Johnson.
Request or Provide Support
Opportunities for students and parents to volunteer in the Community Center are available. In addition, parents may request assistance so that their child can continue to focus on his or her academic studies.
Please utilize the form to provide or request assistance. Forms can be returned directly to Mannion Middle School and the Community Center.
